Hello!

Hi, I’m Kat Tillman — artist, designer, muralist, occasional overthinker. I make bright, cheeky art that’s basically my brain on canvas (sorry in advance). I grew up in a coastal town called Thirroul, just south of Sydney — salt air, surfboards, hills, and a whole lot of daydreaming and a mum who always encouraged me to paint with a “go for it” attitude, so I did. Haven’t really stopped since.

My work is playful and a bit mischievous — full of colour, stories, and characters that make me laugh or feel something weirdly nostalgic. I love art that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still hits you right in the feels. Whether it’s a mural, a painting, or a print, I want people to see it and go, “Oh, that’s fun,” or “I don’t know why, but I love this.”

I’ve done the rounds — fashion, branding, illustration, product design, murals the size of houses — but at the core, it’s all storytelling. I make things that connect people, make spaces feel alive, or turn a dull wall into something you’d actually want to look at.

I live in Melbourne now, powered by coffee and chaos, and I’m big on side quests — those little adventures that don’t always make sense but end up shaping everything. That’s kind of how I approach art too: curious, colourful, and slightly unhinged (in the best way).

Anyway, that’s me. Thanks for being here. Hope my work makes you smile, think, or at least stop scrolling for a sec.
